2019 Wildland & Prescribed Fire Tour

10 AM - 4 PM
Anthro Mountain, Duchesne County, Utah

Meet near the turn off to the Antelope Canyon turn, 11 miles East of Duchesne, UT, (150 yards north of Highway 40 (and 1200 E on Google Maps). We will organize a carpool with high clearance vehicle from this point.

This tour features USDA Forest Service work on Anthro Mountain, southeast of Duchesne, and will focus on prescribed fire for sage grouse habitat improvement, aspen forest regeneration, and look at the challenges of associated elk herbivory.
